Here is a very striking ammonite fossil. This is a large split pair Cleoniceras cleon from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This distinct ammonite has been cut in half and highly polished on each side for optimal display. The coiling pattern of the cephalopod is easily seen, and the many hollow, geodized chambers are simply beautiful. The colorful ammonite is wonderfully showcased on a custom metal and wood stand (included). This is a very attractive specimen of a split Cleoniceras with cool display stand included. A detailed replica of a living ammonite is also included! (see photo)
