This is a very unusual Mammoth fossil. It is a distinct tooth from the Woolly Mammoth, Mammuthus primigenius. This specimen was found in the Rhine River, near Worms, Germany. The tooth itself is quite solid, has part of the root preserved, and has a great grinding surface well displayed. Although the tooth is not fully complete, it is very affordable for what it is. This is a great example of a Mammoth tooth from Germany with beautiful grinding surface still intact.
