Now here is an enigmatic fossil! This is a rare Conularia from the Devonian of La Paz, Bolivia. There is still a lot of debate on the classification of this animal. This specimen is somewhat large and exhibits fine detail. The crenulated ''ribs'' of the fossil shell are well defined, especially under magnification. The fossil has very good natural color, and its cone-like shape is easily seen. This is a very cool example of this strange fossil invertebrate from South America.
