Here is a very nice pair of solitary corals. These are Heliophyllum halli from the Devonian of New York. The coral have been extracted from the surrounding matrix so that they can be viewed from all angles. Each coral has been beautifully prepared to display the septa. The fossil corals are complete and even the tiny tip of the corals are intact. These are two very fine examples of "horn corals" from the Monodechenella and Pseudodechenella locality.
