This is a rare fossil replica. It is a huge Mastadon tooth from Pennsylvania. This specimen was acquired from the Richard Busch Collection, who was the Preparator/Asst. Curator at the North Museum in Lancaster, PA from 1965-1992. This impressive tooth is one of only a handful known from Lancaster County, PA, and the original is still in the North Museum Collection. The detail is excellent, and the color is very similar to the actual tooth - just beautiful! (The back side of the tooth is also fully intact!) This is a very unique replica made by, and acquired directly from, Richard Busch. (This is the only example of this replica we know of, and the collecting data of the tooth is written on the bottom of the replica in Richard's hand.)
