This is a very cool specimen of an uncommon fossil gastropod. This fossil was found in a quarry known more to mineral collectors for its Wavellite deposits. This large gastropod showcases its fine detail beautifully. The fossil snail is extremely inflated and quite 3-dimensional. The distinct gastropod is encased in a nice block of fossiliferous matrix. This is a very collectible specimen of a rare fossil snail from the Keystone State.
