Here is a very nice fossilized Mammoth tooth. It is a large molar from the Woolly Mammoth, Mammuthus primigenius from Siberia, Russia. This tooth is quite large, probably from an adult or subadult mammoth. The grinding surface is excellent, showing the plate structure extremely well. Almost all of the roots of the tooth are present and well displayed. The tooth has great natural color and texture. And it is HEAVY - definitely a fossil tooth. This is a very impressive example of a large Mammoth tooth from the Ice Age of Siberia.
