This is a very interesting historical item. It is a genuine Confederate Ten dollar bill from the Confederate States of America, Richmond, Virginia. This is a true piece of history as much as it is a bank note. This large-sized 1864 note displays superbly - the calvary pulling a cannon and the distinct portrait are easily seen. The back of the note has the beautiful aqua-blue ink tones with a large "TEN" in the center, with the a "10" in each corner. You can tell that these notes were crafted like a work of art and not just printed, as were so many of the paper pieces of that era. This is a cool, collectible piece of Civil War memorabilia and Confederate States currency. (The note comes in an acid free acrylic holder for display and preservation.)
