This is an uncommon ammonite from Russia. This is a large Cadoceras ammonite from the Jurassic of Russia. The ammonite is unusual in that it is almost as wide as it is long! The outer shell still has some wonderful iridescence preserved. The spherical ammonite also displays some suture lines and hollow chambers (on the back side). This is a very cool, impressive ammonite that is about as large as a softball!
